Utahime Screen Caps

The drama begins in the summer of 2007 as a couple walk into an exclusive restaurant overlooking the Roppongi Hills evening skyline, another man, Koizumi Akira played by Nagase Tomoya (My Boss My Hero, Ikebukuro West Gate Park) enters and approaches their table demanding to know who the man she is dining with is. His fiancé grabs the man she was about to eat with and flees. The scene changes and his mother a popular singer has retired and Akira wants to know what’s to become of him, so she sends him to attend the last showing of a movie in Tosa, Kochi Prefecture at an old movie theatre that is closing. Before he goes she gives him a pocket watch that was precious to his recently deceased grandfather, she also tells him that the old movie might change his life . When he arrives at the decrepit smelly theatre the owner explains to him that the movie is a pure love story between a man who’s lost his memory during the war and a young girl. After which he hands Akira a movie program, as he’s gazing at a photo it sucks him into the story.

That’s about the first 15 minutes of the story and as not to give away any spoilers I’ll stop the description there where the story is really just beginning. Along with Nagase is a talented cast consisting of Aibu Saki (Ganbatte Ikimasshoi, Attention Please),Fubuki Jun (Orange Days, Rondo),Akiyama Ryuji (Tokkyu Tanaka San Go),Ohkura Tadayoshi (Double),Sato Ryuta (Bambino!, Pride). I though the first episode was a little slow paced but Nagase is usually very good so I expect this series will improve as he plays the dual role. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys period pieces like Memories of Matsuko or Metro Ni Notte.

Download the bit torrent files for the first two episodes of the RAW video here, and the first episode soft subs can be downloaded here.

I'm downloading this one at the moment ^o^ Is it good? Can't go wrong with a Nagase drama, right?

@p-chan
It was pretty good, but I'm hoping it gets a lot better. You're right about Nagase!
