Yukan Club Screen Caps

The drama begins at seven o’clock on a school day, an alarm goes off to fails to wake Shochikubai Miroku played by Akanishi Jin (Anego, Gokusen 2). Kenbishi Yuri played by Minami (Battle Royale, Kaikidaisakusen) asks for more food from a lavish breakfast table. Kikumasamune Seishiro played by Yokoyama Yu (Haikei, Chichiue-sama, Food Fight) is pratcing inside the dojo before leaving for school. Hakushika Noriko played by Kashii Yu (My Boss My Hero, Sexy Voice and Robo) is performing the tea ceremony. Bido Granmarie played by Taguchi Junnosuke (Hanayome to Papa, Ganbatte Ikimasshoi) is bathing in rose petal water as he prepares for school. Kizakura Karen played by Suzuki Emi (Long Love Letter, Lunch no Joou) worries that her skirt has shrunk. These six students each accosted by other students bearing gifts, flowers and confession letters are the elite of the Saint President Gahnen High School. President, vice president, secretary, mangaer of the student council, along with the sports club president and literature club president form the Yukan Club. Shirakawa Yumi (Great Teacher Onizuka, Kurosagi) again plays the role of the school director.

This was a really fun first episode where each of the students used their specialties to help Miroku, son of the police commissioner solve a case and possibly get the girl. Minami had the funniest lines along with Taguchi Junnosuke but all of the characters are engaging so I’ve got high hopes for more good stuff to come in this series. I’d recommend this to anyone who enjoys fun mysteries like Akihabara@DEEP, Kuitan or Sexy Voice and Robo.

Love Song did a great job with the hardsub English subtitles and so fast too they even beat all of the other drama series soft sub releases. Download the bit torrent file for their release here.

Can I just say that I am pooped? _o_ I'm so tired!! but it was worth it. The team is trying something new and seeing how we can better our production and work flow. We definitely intend to keep this speed all the way through (and hopefully we can...) ^^ only thing I wasn't crazy about is the karaoke. because there were some words there were hard to hear, the translators couldn't give me complete lyrics. ...and I goofed the disclaimer but that's okay XD

I'm quite a fan of Yokoyama Yu so I was really anticipating him in this series. Having Suzuki Emi in this doesn't hurt either. I became a fan of hers after watching Gyarusa. Yuri's character seemed a bit annoying to me at first but I think she'll grow on me. I think so far this series isn't spectacular... there's room for improvement. I haven't read the manga so I can't say anything about that but I hope there will be more of a storyline later on.

Thanks you so much for all the hard work by you and your team, we appreciate your speed but your quality was superb as always and that's why I always download your groups releases.

I'm quite a fan of Yokoyama Yu I had only seen him in Haikei, Chichiue-sama where he played quite a different role so I look farward to seeing more of this series.

Suzuki Emi in this doesn't hurt either I agree completely cute and funny, I loved her at the party when all the elites swarmed her.

Yuri's character seemed a bit annoying to me at first
I really liked her, guess it from all the tsundre anime characters I watch! But Yuri is a little too good natured to be a true tsundre, maybe just a tomboy.

I think the series will surely improve especially if they can find a unifying storyline and not just random episodes, we'll just have to wait and see. I can't find the manga scans anywhere it's published in Margaret a sho-jo manga that also featured HYD, The Rose of Versailles and Maria-sama ga Miteru, some pretty good company.

Haikei, Chichiue-sama was the first drama I've ever seen Yokoyama Yu star in. Being a huge Kanjani8 fan, I was extremely happy to be subbing that drama since he starred in it. I also watched Kemarishi which is a SP that KansaiBoys subbed. He's the lead in that. Yu is usually extremely outgoing. To see him as Seishiro is actually quite shocking! ^o^

When I first watched the raw, Yuri was a bit irritating at first... maybe it was because she acted just like an anime character XD but the more times I watched it through, the more I started to like her. I don't remember Minami being in Battle Royale. I'm gonna have to go back and re-watch it one day.

I really hope there will be a storyline to this. Standalone episodes really aren't that much fun to watch. It seemed like people had such high expectations for this series and many has been let down so far.

I really liked that drama alot, I need to find some time and do a post on it soon.

I didn't either, I read it in the drama wiki, but I just checked wikipedia and her site she played Keiko Onuki (O-nuki Keiko) (known as Keiko Inoue in the manga version) is a character in the novel, film and manga Battle Royale. She was played by Minami Hinase in the film version. Just Miniami per IMDB, and her website Shogo Kawada's girlfriend from his previous school in Kobe; Keiko was in Shogo's class when the two were in a Battle Royale. His relationship with Keiko and the outcome of the previous Battle Royale hardens Shogo Kawada. per wikipedia

I really hope there will be a storyline to this. Standalone episodes really aren't that much fun to watch.
I agree, a good overall story could really tie the whole thing together and make for a much better series. It's hard to do well in a mystery series because each case is usually solved in an episode making it pretty random. A common criminal or a deeper mystery behind the scene is usually the best way to handle it and give the series some cohesiveness. But you can't tell if that's what the producers have planned until we see some more episodes.

I agreed with you 100% on your assessment of episode 4. I felt pain and nauseous after watching. Its plot was so horrible. Episode 5 was much better. Thanks goodness for that. GiGi

@GiGi I agree entirely, just finished watching episode 5 and I think it's the best episode so far. I'll probably post about it tomorrow!
