Galileo ガリレオ Episode 9 Screen Caps

Episode 9 Bursts Part 1
Serial Murders Set Up by the Devil

A rowboat floats adrift on a lake, the frightened occupant, see bubbles surrounding the boat and protests that he can’t swim, the oars float a few meters away. Then the boat explodes in a fiery blast. The scene shifts to a school where Kaoru played by Shibasaki Kou (Orange Days, Good Luck!!) and her partner are giving a crime prevention lecture to an empty classroom, it’s the school’s cultural festival. They walk through the school and in an art exhibit they find an eerily realistic death mask that a student has created of a murder victim. A woman enters who claims to know the deceased; the student gives Kaoru a metal plate with the man’s facial outline embedded. Karou brings the metal plate to Galileo played by Fukuyama Masaharu (Meguri Ai, Perfect Love) to investigate. Galileo’s assistant claims the mask is a curse placed by the deceased but of course Galileo doesn’t believe in curses. Galileo starts an investigation into the means that a human face might be replicated onto a metal sheet.
The drama comes to close next week with the 2nd part of this two part story. Honjo Manami (Akihabara@Deep, Be-Bop High School) guest stars as Kyoko again next week week. Fan’s of Akihabara@deep will recognize her as Yui the woman that assembled the @deep crew. She just had a small role in this week’s episode but she is also on the conclusion next week so hopefully she’ll have more of a role and her @deep costar returns as well, Kusanagi Shunpei played by Kitamura Kazuki (Bambino!, Akihabara@Deep) he’s the detective that recommended that Kaoru consult with Galileo in the opening episode. This was my favorite drama of the fall season which really surprised me because I’m not a fan of police shows but there is enough science and character development to keep me interested each week.
