Zettai Kareshi絶対彼氏 Ep.2 Screen Caps

This episode starts with a recap on how Riko played by Aibu Saki (Utahime, Attention Please) obtained her robotic boy friend, Night played by Hayami Mokomichi (Hataraki Man, Rondo), on a free trial. Riko wakes, to Night’s attempt to give her a morning kiss but she flees to the living room, when he asks her if she didn’t want a morning kiss, she responds that she doesn’t and for him to wear some clothes. She realizes that today is the last day of the free trial, and then she sees the breakfast that Night has prepared for her. She’s overjoyed with the meal but then upon inspection of the refrigerator she discovers that Night used a weeks worth of food to prepare the breakfast. Meanwhile Mizushima Hiro (Kamen Rider Kabuto, Hanazakari no Kimitachi e) is having a meeting with his older brother and father about the development of a new product for an exclusive department store. The father wants Hiro to be in charge of it but the brother objects saying that it’s too important. They compromise making Hiro responsible for coming up with a new concept and presenting it to the company’s board before any decision is made. Hiro’s not happy with the new responsibility and when his father states “There must be something you like”. He arrives at the office and when he sees Riko he remembers the cream puff that she’d made. He drags her into his office and asks her to make some more. But she refuses.

This is my second favorite romantic comedy drama being shown this season running a close second to Ryokiteki na Kanojo, but in any other season it may well be the best. It’s funny and the implied love triangle between Riko, Hiro and Night should prove highly entertaining. After the second episode still highly recommend this to fans of romantic comedies like Kimi wa Petto or Proposal Daisakusen.

Ryokiteki na Kanojo猟奇的な彼女Ep.2 Screen Caps

My Sassy Girl Episode 2
This episode begins where the last left off, Takami Riko played by Tanaka Rena (Drug Store Girl, Gegege no Kitaro) has become Masaki Saburo played by Kusanagi Tsuyoshi (Sasaki Fusai no Jingi Naki Tatakai, SMAP) next door neighbour. She vaults over the balcony and invades his home, the large aquarium draws her attention and she wants to know if the fish are edible. Saburo is upset that she’s moved next door, and claims she’s infringing on his rights. But Riko resonds with her signature phrase “You wanna die?”. Then Saburo’s childhood friend and his hoped to be girlfriend, Asakura Minami played by Matsushita Nao (Top Caster, Good Job) arrives. Saburo drags Riko out onto the balcony to hide, as he doesn’t want Minami to know that Riko moved in next door. When he turns away, Riko greets Minami at the door, yelling to Saburo that he has a guest. Saburo makes believe she’s delivered him a pizza and goes to pay her off but she doubles the fee and exits the room, leaving Saburo and Minami alone finally. But then Saburo fesses up telling Minami that Riko has just moved in next door. Minami has come on an errand from the lab, delivering some fish that Saburo is to care for at home. He admits that since this has become his job, he doesn’t love marine biology like he once did. Minami notices all the cup ramen and instant foods on Saburo’s counter and offers to make him breakfast. Riko arrives back from the balcony again, this time she wearing a pizza delivery uniform. Then she asks Minami if she’s Saburo’s girlfriend. Minami responds “No” but then changes it to “Not Yet”.

Another terrific episode, the love triangle worked very well here, but I love the bit that they do that's a parody of Galileo solving a crime. Will Riko ruin Saburo’s life? It’s amazing how fast this episodes subtitles were released as well, I just saw the first episode on Saturday so it was a really nice surprise to see the second episodes released early Tuesday morning. Still highly recommending this drama after the first two episodes, it's just getting better.
